NEWARK, NJ – After sweeping doubles play, Rutgers-Newark won just one singles contest in a 5-4 loss to Hunter College on The Golden Dome Courts.

Michelle Nagamine downed sophomore Stephanie Ahwireng 6-0, 6-4, on the No. 4 court but the Hawks (3-2) claimed the other five matches in straight sets to upend the Scarlet Raiders (3-6) who lost to a CUNY Athletic Conference team for the first time in four outings this fall.
