Catherine Popow recorded an upset on the No. 1 singles court, but Richard Stockton came away with an 8-1 New Jersey Athletic Conference victory on the Stockton Tennis Courts.

Danielle Merritt. The rookie duo fell in a tie-breaker, 9-8 (10-5) to Koropchak and junior Syndi Fahringer.
Merritt lost to Fahringer, 6-2, 6-1, on the No. 2 singles court but the Ospreys (3-2, NAJC 1-1) swept the lower four singles contests without dropping a game.
Rutgers-Newark (0-6, NJAC 0-4) steps out of conference on Friday, travelling to Brooklyn College for a 4 p.m. match.
