Box Score NEWARK, N.J. - Rutgers University-Newark celebrated Senior Night in The Golden Dome Arena with an 84-68 win over Ramapo College with the team's five seniors providing 41 points, 24 rebounds and 10 assists to close out the regular season.

Christian Garcia led the way with his second double-double of the season, finishing with 14 points as well as game highs of a dozen rebounds and five assists. Classmate
Chris Foreman knocked down three long-range jumpers to join Garcia and sophomore guard
Darrian Collins with 14 points apiece. Collins sank four treys as the Scarlet Raiders (17-8, NJAC 11-7) poured in 10 of 23 shots from beyond the arc.

Junior forward
Jordan McDaniel, who was held scoreless in the opening half, exploded for 11 points in the second half and added six rebounds and a career-high five blocked shots. Senior guard
Doze Ikwuegbu sank a pair of 3-pointers to finish with nine points while senior forward
Allen Kuiper worked inside for six rebounds, four points and two assists.

David Azoroh notched eight points and five rebounds in just 14 minutes on the floor as Raider head coach
Joe Loughran went to his bench early and often after starting his five seniors.
After leading by as many as 17 points in the first period and 42-31 at the half, Rutgers-Newark broke away to lead 76-52 on a pair of free throws by Kuiper with 4:36 left.
Sophomore forward Jermaine Peart led Ramapo (13-12, NJAC 7-11) with 13 points and senior guard Jermaine Dunkins hit three of six shots from beyond the arc on his way to 12 points and three assists to help the Roadrunner bench tally 38 points. But the Raider bench poured in a season-high 43 points.
Freshman forward Thomas Bonacum paced Ramapo with 10 rebounds and four assists while adding eight points. Freshman forward Christopher Moseley added nine points and three blocked shots.
The win gives the Rutgers-Newark some momentum going into the opening round of the NJAC Championship Tournament on Saturday. The fourth-seeded Raiders host fifth-seeded Rowan (16-9, NJAC 10-8) in The Golden Dome Arena at 7 p.m. on Saturday. Sixth-seeded New Jersey City (12-13, NJAC 9-9) visits The College of New Jersey (15-10, NJAC 11-7), the third seed, at 3 p.m. on Saturday in the other first round contest.
Top-seeded Stockton (20-5, NJAC 14-4) will host either Rutgers-Newark or Rowan on Tuesday while second-seeded William Paterson (19-6, NJAC 13-5) hosts the NJCU-TCNJ victor. Both games begin at 7 p.m. The championship game will be played on February 27 at the home of the highest surviving seed.
The Raiders swept the regular-season series against Rowan, stopping the Profs, 65-60, in Newark on January 17 and upending Rowan in Glassboro last Saturday, 64-53.
