Senior third baseman Nick Gencarelli (Pompton Plains, NJ/Pequannock) had two hits for the Scarlet Raiders, who collected eight hits.

Senior right-hander Jonathan Dominguez (Newark, NJ/East Side) was the Scarlet Raider starter and loser. Dominguez lasted only 2 2/3 innings, surrendering seven runs (six earned) and nine hits, striking out four.

Freshman right-hander Yanni Vayas (Warren, NJ/St. Joseph of Metuchen) pitched two innings in relief, fanning two and allowing two earned runs.

The Scarlet Raiders were undone by a six-run third inning, as the University of the Redlands began to pound out 19 hits.

Jordan Dressner had three hits, scored two runs and drove in two and Mitch Samson had two hits, two runs scored and two RBI for the winners. Noah Jones pitched six innings, allowing just two runs, to earn the victory.

The Scarlet Raiders return to action Saturday, when they face Occidental College in a doubleheader beginning at 11 AM Pacific Daylight Time (2 PM in the EDT).
