NEWARK, N.J. (March 28, 2016) – The Rutgers University-Newark baseball team had its game against Muhlenberg College postponed Monday because of heavy rain in Newark.
The two schools are working to make up the game and an announcement will be made when and if a new date is finalized.
Rutgers-Newark went 2-2 last week after returning from a trip to California over Spring Break. The Scarlet Raiders earned a win over Baruch College behind freshman pitcher Anthony Rosline and the bats of seniors
Cameron Dias,
Billy Taylor and
Gerry Patrizio to start the week, and salvaged the finale of a three-game set with Centenary College on Saturday behind a complete-game four-hitter from senior
Ryan MacFarlane.
The Scarlet Raiders (7-10) will look to move closer to the .500 mark on Tuesday afternoon when they host Drew University at Riverfront Stadium Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
