Updated Schedule
March 29 Update (12 p.m.): The Rutgers University-Newark baseball team will return to the field at The College of New Jersey on Saturday, April 1 at The College of New Jersey. It will be the New Jersey Athletic Conference opener for both schools.
The Scarlet Raiders will enter the doubleheader against the Lions having won seven-straight games and with a record of 10-3. Unfortunately, Rutgers-Newark will have not played since March 18 because of snow, rain and general field issues.
March 29 Update (7:30 a.m.):
The Rutgers University-Newark baseball game against John Jay College scheduled for Wednesday, March 29 at Riverfront Stadium in Newark has been postponed because of wet field conditions. The Scarlet Raiders' game against New York University slated for Thursday, March 30 is also postponed.
Rutgers-Newark is currently trying to find an opponent for a game Thursday at Diamond Nation in Flemington N.J.
The Scarlet Raiders have rescheduled Tuesday's game at Drew University for Monday, April 3 at 3:30 p.m.
Fans should continue to check the Rutgers-Newark website and the baseball schedule for updates.
March 28 Update (1:35 p.m.):
The Rutgers University-Newark baseball game scheduled for March 28 at Drew University has been postponed because of heavy rain in the area. The team has also postponed its home game against John Jay College on Wednesday due to field conditions.
The Scarlet Raiders are currently on a seven-game winning streak after closing their Spring Break trip incredibly well. Unfortunately, due to rain, snow and general field issues, the team has seen five-straight games postponed.
Currently, R-N is slated to host New York University in Newark on Thursday. That game is still "on" but could have a change in location. As soon as an update is available, this release will be updated as will the complete Rutgers-Newark baseball schedule.Â
March 25 Update:
The Rutgers University-Newark baseball team had its game slated for Monday, March 25 at Riverfront Stadium in Newark postponed Saturday evening due to field issues. The team will get back at it Tuesday with a non-conference battle against Drew University in Madison, N.J. The game is slated for a 3:30 p.m. first pitch. R-N is then scheduled to play John Jay College and New York University in Newark on Wednesday and Thursday.
March 22 Update:
The Rutgers University-Newark baseball game scheduled for Thursday, March 23 against Baruch College has been postponed due to field conditions. This comes two days after a contest at Lehman College was postponed. Both games will be made up at a time yet to be determined.

As of Wednesday night, Rutgers-Newark is slated to next take on Muhlenberg College Monday, March 27 in Newark. Rutgers-Newark is currently on a seven-game winning streak after closing its Spring Break trip to Myrtle Beach on a hot streak. The Scarlet Raiders are 10-3 overall. After Monday's matchup, R-N travels to Drew University for a Tuesday tilt with the Rangers.
