NEWARK, N.J. (March 22, 2018) – The 2018 Rutgers University-Newark baseball home opener against St. Joseph's College – Brooklyn scheduled for Thursday, March 22 has been postponed because of Winter Storm Toby. The two schools will work to find a suitable makeup date.
 
Newark received between six and 10 inches of snow on Wednesday, making Riverfront Stadium unplayable.
 
Currently, the Scarlet Raiders are slated to return to the diamond Monday against Lehman College at Riverfront Stadium. First pitch is slated for 3:30 p.m.
