NEWARK, N.J. (April 16, 2018) - Heavy rains in New Jersey Sunday night and Monday have forced schedule changes to Tuesday's Rutgers University-Newark baseball and softball games. It has also forced a non-conference softball doubleheader to be postponed.

BASEBALL CHANGES:
The Scarlet Raider baseball team was scheduled to play a non-conference game against Baruch College in Jersey City at Jaroschak Field. That game has been moved and will now take place at Riverfront Stadium in Newark. First pitch will still be at 3:30 p.m. and fans will have access to live stats.

SOFTBALL CHANGES:
Rutgers-Newark softball was originally slated to play a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) doubleheader on Alumni Field against Kean University. Those games will now be played in Union, N.J. at Kean University and the doubleheader is now slated for a 4 p.m. start. Live coverage links for those games will be posted on the Website Tuesday morning.

Additionally, the softball team's non-league twinbill against Baruch College that was rescheduled for April 26 has been postponed. Baruch has to make up conference games on that date and therefore the two schools will need to look for another date to try and get in the non-conference games.
