Nikishin Picks Up Second NJAC Defensive Player of the Week Award

PITMAN, NJ | The New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) announced its weekly awards for men's volleyball with Matt Nikishin picking up his second NJAC Defensive Player of the Week award.

Nikishin recorded a match-high 9 digs against Randolph-Macon in the Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC) Quarterfinal. He played in all three sets in the sweep and added a pair of assists for his team.

Nikishin has helped keep rallies alive for the Scarlet Raiders all season long and did so this week to help push his team to the CVC Semifinal round against Southern Virginia University where they would eventually lose in a five-set thriller.

The Scarlet Raiders will now await to see if they make the NCAA Division III Tournament which will be released on Monday, April 12 at 10 a.m.
