PITMAN, NJ – Two standout athletes from the Rutgers-Newark women's indoor track and field team have earned well-deserved recognition after an impressive showing at the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Indoor Track and Field Championships, with both Shanil Auguste and Oghenefejiro Akiri earning spots on the NJAC All-Conference Team.

Shanil Auguste, the driving force behind the Scarlet Raiders' success, captured the gold medal in the women's shot put with a season-best throw of 12.64 meters (41-05.75). The remarkable distance not only secured her first-place finish but also highlighted her continued excellence in the event throughout the season.
