ITHACA, NY - The Rutgers-Newark men's track and field team put up a strong showing at the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) Championships held at the A&E Center in Ithaca, NY. Despite facing stiff competition, several Scarlet Raiders turned in impressive performances across multiple events.
On the men's side, Adam Abushanab competed at a high level and gave it all he had to place fourth in the 5,000 meters on Friday night as he crossed the line in a time of 15:04.61 just .08 seconds behind third place. The next day in the 3000 meters, Abushanab finished with a time of 8:47.45, demonstrating solid endurance and grit on the track.
The men's 4x400 meter relay team of Shareek Prophet, Daniel Cortez, Wascar Oliverio, and Andrew Mark clocked a time of 3:43.34 in the race.
