Kolodziej and Sturt earn NJAC Weekly Honors

PITMAN, N.J. – Following a perfect 4-0 week in non-conference play, the Scarlet Raiders swept the weekly honors from the New Jersey Athletic Conference as Aleks Kolodziej was named NJAC Player of the Week and Duncan Sturt earned NJAC Rookie of the Week for the fourth time in the first five weeks of his collegiate career.

Kolodziej becomes the second Scarlet Raider selected as NJAC Player of the Week this season after powering Rutgers-Newark on both ends of the court. The senior outside hitter totaled 35 kills on a .423 hitting percentage while adding 24 digs and eight total blocks across four matches. His signature performance came against No. 14 SUNY New Paltz, where he delivered 18 kills on a blistering .531 hitting percentage while recording 13 digs to help secure one of the team's biggest wins of the season. He also tallied 12 kills on .345 hitting in a sweep of St. Joseph's (L.I.) to open the week.

Kolodziej currently ranks fifth in the NJAC in points (3.15 per set) and sixth in kills (2.56 per set), continuing to establish himself as one of the conference's top all-around threats.

Sturt once again directed the Scarlet Raider offense with precision, totaling 146 assists at an average of 11.2 per set while committing just five errors across the four-match stretch. He peaked with 49 assists in the four-set victory over No. 14 SUNY New Paltz, orchestrating a balanced attack that proved pivotal in the marquee win.

The freshman setter currently leads the NJAC in total assists (444) and assists per set (10.09), highlighting his immediate impact in his first collegiate season.
