FRESHMAN (2011):  Started three games with two relief appearances for the 23-19 Raiders… posted a record of 0-1 with a 4.58 ERA while allowing opponents a .246 batting average and no extra-base hits in 17-1/3 innings… struck out six while yielding 22 walks, 16 hits and nine earned runs… gave up only a walk while pitching an inning in an 11-0 win over Mount St. Mary (3/1/11)… gave up no earned runs in 2-2/3 innings of starting duty in a 16-13 win over Baruch (3/29/11) while allowing five walks and five hits against a strikeout… gave up just one earned run in 4-2/3 innings as the starter in a 10-8 win over DeSales (4/20/11), striking out two against three hits and six walks.

HIGH SCHOOL: First-team All-BCSL and second-team All-Bergen County as a senior at St. Mary’s (Rutherford) HS… third-team all-conference as a junior while earning three letters for the Gaels who reached three straight sectional championship games from 2008 to 2010… sophomore team finished second in state, claiming section and league titles.

PERSONAL: Undecided on major field of study at R-N… son of Joanna and Fred Wieczerzak… nickname is Weezer.
