PROFILE OF THE WEEK (Jan. 13, 2010)

NOTES:  Three-time EIVA All-Academic Team (2010, 2011 & 2012) and All-EAST second team (2010) as a four-year letterwinner… member of the 1000-point club (1064.5) while narrowly missing 1,000 kills for his career (949)…totaled 54 aces, 392 digs and 112 blocks in 315 career sets… averaged 3.01 kills while hitting .253 (949-402-2159)… career reception average of .934 (125 errors, 1893 chances).

SENIOR (2012): EIVA All-Academic Team… second on squad in points (275.0), point average (3.09), kills (247) and kill average (2.78) for the 10-15 Raiders… totaled 15 aces, 114 digs and 22 blocks (4 solo / 18 assisted) while playing in all but three sets… committed just 35 receptions errors in 531 chances (.934)… chalked up double-digit points 18 times while posting double-figure kills on 14 occasions… piled up 24.0 points with 22 kills and a pair of aces while hitting .488 (22-2-41) with nine digs in a 3-2 win over Kean (1/27/12)… hammered down 15 kills while committing just one reception error in 33 chances in a 3-1 loss to Harvard (4/14/12)… recorded 13 kills and a solo block in a 3-1 loss at Princeton (2/28/12)… was errorless on 28 receptions while adding 11 kills, a solo and an assisted block in a3-2 loss at Stevens (3/3/12)… collected 13 kills while getting in on a pair of blocks in a 3-0 loss at NYU (2/18/12)… opened the year with 13 kills and an assisted block in a 3-2 win over NYU (1/20/12).

JUNIOR (2011):  Named to EIVA All-Academic Team for second straight season while playing in all but two sets for the 17-12 Raiders who reached the EIVA Championship semifinals… second on the squad in kills (255), digs (112) and digs average (1.12) while ranking third in kills average (2.55), points (297) and points average (2.97)… made just 47 reception errors out of 591 chances (.920)… delivered 22 aces while getting in on 38 blocks… posted double-digit points 14 times while getting 10 or more kills in nine matches… had season-highs of 20 points and 17 kills plus two aces and a solo block in 3-2 loss to Cardinal Stritch (3/15/11)… on the second day of The Golden Dome Invitational, had 31 kills on .369 hitting (31-7-65) in a pair of Raider wins…hit .500 (15-3-24) with 15 kills, five assisted blocks and six digs in a 3-1 win over Baruch (1/30/11) followed by 16 kills, four assisted blocks and six digs in a 3-1 victory over Stevens (1/30/11)… hammered down15 kills with two aces in a 3-1 loss at Penn State (2/11/11)… hit .458 (13-2-24) with 13 kills and an ace in a 3-1 loss to Springfield (4/9/11)… hit .500 (10-2-16) with 10 kills and an assisted block in a 3-0 win over Saint Francis (4/23/11) in the opening round of the EIVA Championship tournament… notched eight kills with three aces in a 3-0 loss to Penn State (3/26/11)... EIVA All-Academic with a 3.51 in finance, helping the Raiders be one of only two NCAA D-I men’s programs (the other being Stanford University) to earn the AVCA Team Academic Award for maintaining a 3.30 grade point average during the academic year.

SOPHOMORE (2010): All-EAST (second team) and EIVA All-Academic Team after earning EIVA Player of the Week honors three times and AVCA D-I/II National Player of the Week once during 13-13 Raider season… led R-N in points (385.5), points per game (4.19), kills (351) and kills per game (3.82)… ranked 10th in EIVA in kills average… tops squad in reception percentage (.948), making just 36 reception errors in 689 tries… second on the team in digs with 135 (1.47 dpg)… started in 24 of 25 appearances… totaled 13 service aces and 38 blocks… notched double-digit kills 20 times, netting double-figure points in 21 matches… topped 20 kills five times highlighted by a career-high 26-kill, 3-ace, 12 dig effort in a 3-2 loss to Juniata (4/1)… had 10 or more digs in four matches topped by 16 digs to go along with nine kills, an ace, a solo block and two assisted blocks in a 3-1 loss at Juniata (2/12)… hit .500 or better four times led by a 23-kill, 9-dig effort in a 3-1 win at Springfield… had eight matches in which he did not commit a reception error led by a 31-reception effort in a 3-2 loss at Saint Francis (2/13)… notched 23 kills, a dozen digs, three assists and an assisted block while mishandling only one reception in 56 tries in a 3-2 win over IPFW (3/19)… piled up 22 kills, five digs, three assisted blocks and two assists while handling 33 services without an error in a 3-2 upset of George Mason (3/5)… hit .474 with 22 kills, 10 digs and two blocking assists while making just one error in 35 receptions in 3-1 upset of Penn State (3/27)… hammered down 21 kills with three blocking assists while handling all but one of 37 service receptions in a 3-2 loss to Springfield (2/16).

FRESHMAN (2009):
Averaged 2.82 kills and 3.15 points per set which seeing action in 13 matches… hit .254… got in on 14 blocks, made 31 digs and delivered four aces… posted five double-digit kills matches highlighted by a 13-kill, , 2-ace, 2-assisted block, six dig effort in a 3-1 win at East Stroudsburg (2/11/09)… debuted with 12 kills on .360 hitting in a 3-1 loss to Loyola-Chicago (1/24/09)… notched a dozen kills with six digs and an ace in a 3-2 win over Sacred Heart (2/27/09)… had 10 kills in losses to Princeton (2/14/09) and George Mason (2/28/09)… hit .714 (6-1-7) in a 3-2 loss to Harvard (3/6/09)… tallied a career-high six assisted blocks at Princeton (2/14/09)… hit .455 (8-3-11) in a 3-0 loss at Lewis (3/29/09.

HIGH SCHOOL: The Star Ledger Boys Volleyball Player of the Year after helping St. Joseph’s (Metuchen) HS to an NJSIAA Championship... Falcons posted an impressive 43-1 mark. 

CLUB: Participated for three years with the Sixpak Volleyball Club under coach Fred Siegel... helped team to a runner-up finish in the East Coast Championship.

PERSONAL: Majoring in finance at Rutgers-Newark... born in Poland.
