SENIOR (2009): Hit .300 while starting in 14 of the 19 games in which he appeared primarily as the designated hitter… posted a .500 slugging percentage with four doubles and two home runs among his 15 hits… drove in eight runs and delivered two sacrifice flies… drew eight walks to up his on-base percentage to .383… also made one relief appearance for the Raiders… hit safely in 11 games, turning in three multiple-hit efforts… went two for three with two doubles, an RBI, two walks a run scored in a 14-10 win over William Paterson (4/5)… went two for three with a run scored in an 11-4 loss to Rowan (4.18)… in his only start at third base, went two for four with a double and a run scored and contributed two assists in the field in a 4-2 win over Baruch (4/30)… delivered two sacrifice flies, walked and scored a run in a 16-9 win over Lehman (4/8)… belted a solo home run in a 4-3 win over Purchase (3/8)… 2-out, 2-run home run in the eighth knotted the game at La Verne (3/17/) before the Raiders fell 5-4… had a 2-out, RBI single in Raiders’ 6-4 upset of Cal Lutheran (3/21).
JUNIOR (2008): Led R-N with a hefty .638 slugging percentage while hitting .319 as a designated hitter and made nine relief appearances… drove in 14 runs in just 47 at-bats, averaging nearly an RBI per game… third on the team with four home runs and also posted three doubles… three of his four home runs came on pinch-hit at-bats… slammed a seventh-inning 3-run homer to highlight a two-for-four, 4-RBI day against Lehman (4/10) which also included an RBI double in the third… hammered a 3-run, pinch-hit homer with two out in the ninth to trim the lead to one in a 7-5 loss to Ramapo (4/25)… ignited an 8-run eighth inning with a 2-run pinch-hit homer in an 18-4 win over John Jay (4/15)… pounded a solo, pinch-hit home run in the top of the ninth in a 13-8 loss to Montclair State (4/11)… hurled 10-2/3 innings of relief, posting a 1-1 record with an 8.44 ERA… picked up the win by pitching two scoreless inning of relief in the marathon 17-inning, 8-6 win over Rutgers-Camden (4/5), striking out two and walking one… turned in no-hit, no-run relief efforts against Whittier (3/22), FDU-Florham (3/25), Rutgers-Camden (4/5), DeSales (4/9) and John Jay (4/15)… struck out the side in a perfect inning of relief in a 12-4 home-opening win over FDU-Florham (3/25).
SOPHOMORE (2007): Started 35 games at third base and hit .240 with two home runs and 19 RBI… opened the season with five RBI against Averett (VA) University… went three for four with three RBI and three runs scored against Guilford (NC) College… Helped upset Kean with a 2-hit, 2-RBI performance…. started three games on the mound and also had three relief appearances… was 0-3 with an 8.27 ERA… yielded 29 hits in 20-2/3 innings while striking out 21 and walking 13.
FRESHMAN (2006): Enjoyed a successful year at the plate as a freshman… started 32 games at third base and hit .286 with three home runs, 10 doubles and two triples for a .479 slugging percentage… collected 25 RBI and scored 22 times… two-time NJAC Rookie of the Week recipient… had 11 multiple-hit games including two three-hit performances… had a stellar ECAC Tournament going three for six with six RBI and four runs scored.
HIGH SCHOOL: Three-year letterwinner for Joe Sutera… led the Knights to a 25-3 record and a Group I State Championship crown in his junior year… among Bergen County leaders in home runs (6) and RBI (41) in his senior year as team went 26-5 and won the State Sectional Championship… named Third Team All-Bergen County by both the Star Ledger and Bergen Record and was a First Team All-BCSL Olympic selection.
