NOTES: Four-year letterman who appeared in 19 games as a reliever with a .582 career ERA... struck out 13 and walked six in 17 innings.

SENIOR (2010): Made five appearances, posting a 5.40 ERA without a decision… struck out five and walked one in 5 innings of work... struck out two without yielding a hit, walk or run in a full inning of relief in a 17-3 win over John Jay (3/25)… capped career by blanking PSU-Abington (4/27) for an inning in a 17-2 win, allowing no hits against a walk.

JUNIOR (2009): Appeared as a reliever in seven games, posting an ERA of 8.52 with five strikeouts against one walk… notched four 1-inning, no-run efforts… struck out one and allowed a single with no runs in an inning of relief in a 10-3 win over Purchase (3/8)… struck out one with no hits and no runs in an inning of a 12-0 win over Rutgers-Camden (4/4)…allowed no runs and no hits in a full inning of relief in a 12-1 win over John Jay (4/14)… struck out one and allowed a single in a full inning of relief in a 16-9 win over Lehman (4/8).

SOPHOMORE (2008): Posted 3-2/3 innings of scoreless relief… struck out two and walked one while yielding four singles… Raiders were 2-2 in games in which he pitched... gave up two hits with a strikeout in one full inning in a 20-3 win over Lehman (4/10)… struck out one and gave up two hits in one full inning in an 18-4 victory over John Jay (4/15).

MEDICAL REDSHIRT (2007): Missed entire spring season.

FRESHMAN (2006): Appeared in three games and allowed three hits and two earned runs in two innings… made his first collegiate appearance at Staten Island (4/18) and held the Dolphins hitless and scoreless in the one inning.

HIGH SCHOOL: Injured his junior year… returned his senior year for Central and was used as a starter and reliever… developed into ace of staff in American Legion in summer of 2004.

PERSONAL: Son of Gary and Cheryl Apel… criminal justice major .
