FRESHMAN (2010): Saw action in eight games as a designated or pinch hitter after sitting out his true freshman season with chronic back problems… hit .375 with three singles and an RBI in eight at bats… had an RBI single in a 17-3 win over John Jay (3/25)… singled and scored a run in a 20-9 win over Baruch (4/11).

HIGH SCHOOL: All-BCSL in baseball and basketball at Weehawken HS, helping Indians to an 18-6 record and a Group I state tournament berth as a senior in baseball...played in the NJSIAA Senior All-Star Game (top 100 seniors in the state)… named Weehawken’s Athlete of the Year as a senior after garnering second-team All-BCSL notice in baseball and third-team all-conference honors in basketball as a senior. also was a third-team All-BCSL pick in baseball as a junior under coach Anthony Straton.

PERSONAL: Son of Rosa and Miguel Montilla... born in Santo Domengo, the Dominican Republic... oldest of three brothers (Miguel and Angel)... Management major.
