Biography

SENIOR (2009): Capped four-year career by posting a team-low 3.05 ERA in 14 relief appearances… went 1-1 with 14 strikeouts against five walks and seven runs allowed in 20-2/3 innings of work… struck out two while allowing no hits or runs in a 2-inning stint in a 15-11 win over Menlo (3/13)… handcuffed Kean (4/24) for two innings after inheriting a bases-loaded jam in the sixth inning of an 8-6 loss… had a strikeout against a single and a walk in a 1-1/3 inning shutout relief stint in a 5-1 win over Richard Stockton (4/19)… killed a William Paterson (4/16) in the eighth with a strikeout before allowing only a walk to four batters in the ninth in a 9-7 loss… sent New Jersey City (3/30) in order with a strikeout in a full inning of work in a 9-4 win… had a hand in both wins in a doubleheader sweep of Cal Lutheran (3/21), hurling an inning in each half of the twinbill.

JUNIOR (2008): Posted a 1-0 record and a 4.62 ERA in a dozen relief appearances and one starting assignment… had a solid 15-6 strikeout-to-walk ratio while working 25.1 innings… got a win in his only start, going a prearranged two innings in a 20-3 romp over Lehman (4/10)… his six innings of shutout relief, with two strikeouts and two hits allowed, were pivotal in the 17-inning, 8-6 win over Rutgers-Camden (4/5)… struck out two with no hits or walks in a 2-1/3-inning stint in an 18-7 win over New Jersey City (3/27)… turned in a strong 4-1/3 innings in an 11-4 loss at Rowan (4/19), scattering six hits with four strikeouts and no walks… opened the season with shutout relief stints against Trinity (2/23), Eastern Connecticut (3/15) and Redlands (3/16)… came on to get the final out in the 13-7 win over Redlands (3/16)… hurled a scoreless eighth inning in a 15-4 win at Richard Stockton (4/13).

SOPHOMORE (2007): Appeared in six games and yielded five earned runs and nine hits in 5 1-1/3 innings… pitched the eighth inning against California Lutheran and struck out two while allowing just one hit… also recorded a scoreless inning against FDU-Florham.

FRESHMAN (2006): Made his first collegiate appearance against York (PA) College (3/25) and recorded a perfect inning with a strikeout…pitched again the next day and gave up a run and a hit against Rowan (3/26)… pitched a scoreless inning against The College of New Jersey on the final day of the season.

HIGH SCHOOL: Three-year letterwinner at Manalapan... finished his junior and senior seasons in the Top 15 in the Shore Conference with a 1.64 and 1.62 ERA respectively… led Braves in wins his senior year… earned the Sportsmanship Award as well as the Peter Galati Memorial Baseball Award his senior year… also was an Honorable Mention All-District selection… participated in cross country for four years, and both wrestling and winter track for two seasons.

PERSONAL: Son of Susan and Fred Falk… criminal justice major.
