#RUNBB Uses 18 Hits to Score 10 Runs As They Take Down Rutgers-Camden, 10-1

Box Score CAMDEN, NJ | The Rutgers University-Newark baseball team squared off against Rutgers University-Camden under the lights. In the second game of the home and away series, the Scarlet Raiders scored 10 runs to take down the Scarlet Raptors, 10-1. 

Rutgers-Newark (12-10, 2-4) scattered 18 hits to plate 10 runs in the win. Jon Rosado started his week off with a bang, going 4-for-5 with an RBI while Jamir Ramos and Robert Gonzalez added three hits each. Armando Alvarez paced the team with 3 RBIs while going 2-for-4 from the plate. On the mound, Liam Winslow (2-1) picked up his second win of the season after hurling six innings and allowing three hits with one walk. 

Rutgers-Camden (14-11, 2-4) recorded four hits and four errors in the loss while plating one run. Auggie Uzdanovics was 2-for-2 at the plate which led the Scarlet Raptors. Jack Murphy (2-3) allowed 12 hits and four runs and picked up his third loss of the season. 

A pitcher's duel ensued for the first two stanzas before the Scarlet Raiders opened their scoring ledger with two in the top of the 3rd. Gonzalez and Alvarez each tallied an RBI this inning, bringing home Rosado and Lisandro Ulerio to put the Scarlet Raiders in the driver's seat. 

After going scoreless in the 4th, the Scarlet Raiders tallied at least one run in each of the next three innings. In the 5th, Alvarez took advantage of his teammates reaching before him by recording an RBI double to center field. Ulerio and Ramos then followed that inning up with an RBI each in the top of the 6th to further increase their lead.

To close out the game, the Scarlet Raiders scored four more runs in the top of the 9th.
