Men’s Cross Country Wraps Up 2024 Slate at Regionals

GALLOWAY, NJ - The Rutgers-Newark men's cross country program wrapped up their 2024 schedule this weekend at the NCAA Division III Metro Region Cross Country Championships.

The men's team placed 19th overall in the field. Senior Adam Abushanab had an average mile pace of 5:07.3 to clock a season-best time of 25:27.6 in the 8k race.

Carlos Gonzalez Delgado crossed the finish line in a time of 31:19.8. Wascar Olivero captured a time of 32:23.9, while Daniel Cortez was next as he improved his season-best time by over a minute and a half to record a time of 33:10.5. The final Raider to cross the finish line was Andrew Mark who recorded a time of 34:15.2.
