PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Rutgers-Newark men's indoor track and field team completed competition at the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Indoor Track and Field Championships on Sunday night.
Abushanab just missed medaling in the 3,000 meters, as he placed fourth with a time of 8:42.68 - just 1.30 seconds off third place. Wascar Olivero and Carlos Gonzales Delgado also placed in the top 15 in the event. Adam Mark posted a time of 2:09.29 in the 200 meters. Isiah Marcellus raced to a time of 23.10 in the 200 meters.
The 4x400-meter relay team of of Jason Abita, Isiah Marcellus, Andrew Mark, and Shareek Prophet closed out competition for Rutgers-Newark with an eighth-place finish in the event with a time of 3:42.32 to add a point to the team total.
The All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference Indoor Championships will take place March 7-8 in Ithaca, NY at Glazier Arena.
