PITMAN, NJ – Adam Abushanab showed up big for the Rutgers-Newark Scarlet Raiders on the opening day of the New Jersey Athletics Conference (NJAC) Indoor Track and Field Championships, clinching a hard-fought silver medal in the 5,000 meters. This distinction earned him All-NJAC honors.
The senior distance runner displayed impressive grit and determination in the highly competitive race, crossing the finish line with a time of 15:04.19, just six seconds behind the first-place finisher. Abushanab's runner-up finish was a testament to his skill, consistency, and ability to perform under pressure, helping solidify his place as one of the top distance runners in the region.
Abushanab's silver medal helped propel the Scarlet Raiders as they continue to compete in postseason action.
