Grant Metheny and
Marcin Midura had a dozen kills apiece to pace Rutgers-Newark, but Harvard downed the Scarlet Raiders, 3-1, in an EIVA match in the Malkin Athletic Center. Game scores were 25-20, 18-25, 25-15, 25-20.

Midura registered 13.5 points by adding an ace and an assisted block to give him 1000.5 points for his career. He entered his senior campaign with 789.5 points.
Metheny finished with a team-high 16 points by adding three aces and two blocking assists for the Scarlet Raiders (8-11, EIVA 1-8) who suffered their eighth straight league loss. Harvard (15-3, EIVA 7-2) strengthened its second-place standing in the 8-team conference.

Senior outside hitter Matt Jones paced the Crimson with a match-high 15 kills, three aces and four assisted blocks.
