Newark, N.J. - Rutgers–Newark libero Cyan Long has been named the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Women's Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week after a strong defensive week for the Scarlet Raiders.

Cyan Long anchored the Scarlet Raider defense in a 2-1 week for Rutgers-Newark, finishing with 59 digs across three matches. She opened the week with 22 digs in a win over Penn State Abington, followed with a strong 26-dig effort in a setback to Albright, and closed the week by adding 11 more in a sweep of CCNY.
