SOPHOMORE (2009): Started in 13 of the 14 games in which he appeared as an outfielder… hit safely in seven games finishing with a .239 batting average and nine RBIs… had a double and two triples to push his slugging percentage to .348 and drew five walks to finish with a .340 on-base percentage… stole two bases in as many tries… was perfect in the field, making 23 putouts and getting an assist against no errors… went three for three and scored a run in a 12-2 loss to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (3/14)…drove in five runs with a 3-run triple, a single and a sacrifice fly in a 15-11 win over Menlo (3/13) while walking twice, scoring once and posting a stolen base… in a doubleheader sweep of Cal Lutheran (3/21), he got hits in each contest, going a cumulative three for nine with a double and a stolen base… had an RBI triple and scored a run in the 4-run fifth inning of a 5-4 win over TCNJ (3/28)… had a pair of ground ball RBIs in a 10-3 win over Purchase (3/8).

FRESHMAN (2008): Played in nine games as a reserve outfielder… hit .444 with four singles in nine at-bats… stole two bases in as many attempts… drew three walks to give him a hefty .583 on-base percentage… no errors in seven chances in the outfield… scored three times, walked twice, singled and stole a base in a 20-3 win over Lehman (4/10)… went two for two, drove in a run and scored in an 18-4 win over John Jay (4/15)… had an infield single in his only plate appearance against All-NJAC pitcher Thomas Paglione in a 13-1 loss to Kean (3/28).

HIGH SCHOOL: Four-year letterwinner for head coach and former Scarlet Knight catcher Kevin James… earned Second Team All-Shore and All-Monmouth County honors in 2007… helped Bulldawgs to a 16-6 mark and a Shore Conference A Central Division championship… selected to play on the Shore Area’s Carpenter Cup team.

PERSONAL: Son of Anthony and Joanne Giordano… undecided on major… brother Robert played baseball at Richard Stockton College.
