Chris Olsen played tennis for Rutgers-Newark from 1986 through 1990. During that time he earned four Conference Championships including first doubles in his Sophomore and Senior seasons and first singles in his Junior year and third singles in his Senior year.
He was also the first Rutgers-Newark tennis player to win over 100 matches, and upon graduation from school, he held the record for most career wins at that time (112 matches). Chris was also the two-time captain of the tennis team and a Star-Ledger Athlete of the Week in May, 1989.
As a senior in 1990, he was awarded the Rutgers-Newark Outstanding Male Athlete Award and was the assistant coach for both the men’s and women’s tennis teams for the 1991 season.
Chris presently lives in Woodcliff Lakes, N.J. and has a career in corporate real estate working for Insigna/Edward S. Gordon Company, representing many of the Fortune 500 companies.
