Jeremy Hoff completed his career as the top point producer in the history of Rutgers-Newark’s storied men’s volleyball program while earning two first-team All-EAST berths for the Scarlet Raiders.

The frontline performer piled up 1797.5 points behind 1,395 kills, 150 service aces and 440 total blocks from 1999 through 2002. He ranks second in R-N history in kills behind two-time all-American Jose Luis Estrada (1,519) and set a new Raider career mark with the 150 aces. While playing in a school-record 412 games, he also upped the R-N career mark to 537 digs.

His 440 blocks also set the Raider standard, establishing new school career highs with 65 solos and 375 blocking assists.

As a senior, he led Rutgers-Newark to a No. 2 seed in the EIVA Championship Tournament where the Raiders were denied a trip to the NCAA Final Four by heavily-favored Penn State in five sets. The team upended Ohio State, Loyola-Chicago and Ball State on its way to a 19-10 finish and an AVCA Coaches Poll ranking of 15th in the final week of the season.

He was named the 2001-2002 Rutgers-Newark Male Athlete of the Year – opposite fellow R-N Hall of Famer Domini Lanzone from women’s volleyball.

After completing his bachelor of science in chemistry at Rutgers-Newark in 2002, Hoff earned his doctor of osteopathy at Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in 2007.

Hoff currently works in private practice for Hampton Roads Orthopedic Sport Medicine/Pain Management.
