A standout player for the Scarlet Raiders men's soccer team, Hubert Dul (2013-2017), a native of Wallington, NJ, made significant contributions during his time at Rutgers-Newark. Known for his leadership and skill on the field, he helped elevate the program to new heights by playing a key role in numerous victories. He was named the 2017 NJAC Midfielder of the Year in addition to earning 2017 First Team All-Conference and 2014 Second Team All-Conference accolades. In his first season, the team finished 17-6-1, reached the NJAC Championship match for the first time in program history, and earned the program's first NCAA Championship at-large berth. The following season, he earned Second Team All-NJAC honors as a midfielder for a 16-6-0 squad that finished second in the NJAC regular season and posted the program's first ever victory in the NCAA D3 National Tournament. As a junior, Dul helped Rutgers-Newark to the 2015 ECAC Metro/Upstate title and a 16-win season. He bounced back from an injury in 2017 to help lead the Scarlet Raiders to a 20-3-1 season, where they won the NJAC Championship and advanced to the second round of the NCAA D3 National Tournament once again. Dul started 61 of the 65 matches in which he played, recording 11 goals, 21 assists, and 43 points. He had a shots on goal percentage of .438 and registered five game winners. He played a total of 4,328 minutes.
