Kevin McCandless

McCandless was one of the best Scarlet Raiders men’s volleyball players to ever play at Rutgers-Newark. McCandless was part of the men’s volleyball team when they made the switch from Division I to Division III. He was the 2015 Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC) Tournament MVP and was named First Team All-CVC in that same season. One of his most prestigious awards was winning the Elite 90 award which is given to goes to the student-athlete with the highest GPA at the national championship finals site for each of the NCAA's 90 championships across all divisions.

For his career, McCandless played in 350 sets and tallied 119 kills, but made his impact with 3,266 assists. He also added 78 aces and 466 digs throughout his career. McCandless was always in the right position for a block as well as he earned 119 block assists.
