Jeffrey Karlin compiled a standout record in wrestling, competing over his four-year career from 1965-69 in the 115, 123, and 130-pound weight classes. In his freshman year, Jeff was undefeated with a 10-0 record and as a sophomore he was the co-holder of the most wins in one season at Rutgers-Newark with 17. He was Co-Captain of the wrestling team in 1967-68 and 1968-69 and was the recipient of the Richard Cataldo Memorial Award in 1968-69.
Jeff’s individual honors also include placing second in the 1966 Metropolitan Intercollegiate Wrestling Tournament in the 117 lb. weight class and placing third in the N.A.I.A District 31 Tournament in 1967 at 117 lbs. In 1969 Jeff was the N.A.I.A District 31 Champion in the 130 lb. weight class. Upon graduation Jeff held the school record of 55 career dual meet wins.
Jeff, who was also named to Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges, currently resides in Oakland, California, and is a Podiatrist.
