Jim Andrich may be one of the finest wrestlers that ever wrestled at Rutgers-Newark. Jim holds the school record for the most career wins at 102, 57 of which were by pins. Jim also was the Metropolitan Tournament champion at 167 lbs. in 1983 and was runner-up in the tournament in 1982 and 1985 at 177 lbs. Jim also qualified for the NCAA Division III Nationals during all four years that he wrestled at Rutgers-Newark and was an All-American at 167 lb. weight class. 

Jim also qualified for, and wrestled in the Sunshine Open, a national open tournament in 1983, placing fourth. 

Jim was team captain for three years, received the Cataldo Award (given to an outstanding wrestler at Rutgers-Newark) for three years, and was voted the MVP for three years. As a senior, he received the Senior Award in 1985. 

After graduating from Rutgers-Newark, Jim served as the assistant wrestling coach from 1985 through 1987 and was the head wrestling coach in 1987-1988. 

Jim is sales manager for International Paper in Boston and lives in Massachusetts with his wife, Gloria, and their two children.
